Prepare your furry friend right for blood tests! 🩸

Properly preparing your pet for blood tests is the key to accurate results. To ensure the data isn’t skewed, follow these rules:

1️⃣ Fasting: Before a general analysis - 3 hours of fasting, for a biochemical one - 8 hours. For cholesterol and lipoproteins - 12 hours. Fasting helps obtain clear data.

2️⃣ Water: Let your fluffy buddy drink as much as they want! Dehydration can affect the results, so keep water readily available.

3️⃣ Physical Activity: Postpone workouts and playtime 2 days before the test. Excessive physical activity can distort the indicators.

4️⃣Stress: Provide comfort and tranquility. Speak soothingly, keep dogs on a leash, and use carriers for cats. If the animal is very excitable, then you need to make an appointment at a certain time when there will be few other visitors to the clinic.

5️⃣ Medications: Inform the vet about any medications your pet is taking. Coordinate their intake or discontinuation with the treating physician.

6️⃣ Special Cases: Puppies, kittens, elderly, and weakened pets need a special approach. Fasting can be reduced to 4 hours.

Caring for your furry companion starts with proper preparation! 💉🐕🐈
